  1. Hello.  I have tried using trumptel and qvtnet (396) and with both of
  2. these I find that I can connect to some systems just fine, but other
  3. systems (in particular hollis.harvard.edu and melvyl.ucop.edu) I get
  4. frozen shortly after receiving the first screen.  QVTnet just refuses
  5. to recognize my <Enter> key, but trumptel hangs completely.  The odd
  6. thing about trumptel is that it doesn't hang immediately. In the case
  7. of connecting to hollis.harvard.edu, I get past pressing <Enter> for
  8. my terminal type, and again past typing hollis<enter> to pick the
  9. service. It's not until the next screen, selecting a database, that
  10. it freezes.

  12. Any ideas? Is this something wrong with my configuration or bugs in
  13. the software?

  34. What's going on here?  I have WinTrumpet WSK/SLIP 1.0a loaded, and am
  35. running into some really odd stuff.  The SLIP session will hang every few
  36. minutes, wait about 20-03 seconds, and then pick back up.

  38. A MAC running InterSLIP on the same phone line with the same modem does 
  39. not exhibit this problem.

  43. There are a bunch of people here who would likely register this product
  44. IF AND ONLY IF it is solid.  Alpha17 DOES NOT exhibit the problem, but has 
  45. no dialer.  A18 and later have this problem; I've tried A18 and 1.0a.

  47. I have no third-party screen saver loaded.
